Christina Pena

Empowering. Driven. Joyful.

Christina is fantastic at seeing the strengths in others and giving them an opportunity to show up. She’s strong and driven, and doesn’t let obstacles keep her from the destination. She sees a need, and takes care of it… most likely before others even realize the need was even there! She’s full of laughter and smiles and brings joy into the atmosphere, wherever she is. You’ll find out pretty quickly that if Christina is around, you’re in for an adventure loaded with fun.

Christina is from Ligonier and comes from a family of 6 siblings, so she knows how to hold her own! She graduated from Taylor University with a Bachelor’s in Elementary Education, and then received her Master’s in Education from Indiana University. Teaching is a huge passion for her and she taught 5th grade at West Noble Middle School for 5 years. She loves serving with her talents, spending time with friends, movies, and Chick-Fil-A, of course! Her hobbies include knitting and technology – yep, she’s that cool. She knows how to show up as a leader, see the joy in everything, and make you feel like a rockstar no matter who you are or what you do. At Vineyard, Christina is our Office Manager and Director of Kingdom Kids Ministry. She brings organization and structure to the office, and leads our children’s ministry, providing vision and resources to impact our students and create an environment where they experience God.

Her greatest desire in life is to live out Matthew 6:33, “Seek the Kingdom of God above all else, and live righteously, and he will give you everything you need.” Before she dies, she would love to ride a hot air balloon overlooking beautiful scenery!

She believes one of the most important things we can do in this life is to be who we were made to be, and Dr. Suess does a great job reminding us of just that: “Today you are You, that is truer than true. There is no one alive who is Youer than You.”
